Congratulations to the winners of the 2016 Retail TouchPoints Superstar Awards

We’re excited to share that three of Tyco Retail Solutions’ customers were recently named recipients of the Retail TouchPoints 2016 Store Operations Superstar Awards, which recognizes retailers that have implemented innovative, successful store operations strategies. Congratulations to lululemon, DICK’s Sporting Goods and PetSmart for being innovative leaders and advancing the retail industry.

Inventory Optimization/Loss Prevention (LP) Category

lululemon won gold for its use of RFID technology to drive an exceptional guest experience.  They saw inventory accuracy as a foundational need to deliver on their primary goal, the optimum guest experience with its brand. This would be achieved through the implementation of an RFID solution by leveraging the keen insight only RFID technology can provide. They also saw RFID helping them solve some operational pain points such as inefficient restock reports, time-consuming transfers, and tedious shipping processes. Working with Tyco Retail Solutions, lululemon rolled out RFID technology to all 300 North American stores.

DICK’s Sporting Goods won silver for its use of IP video surveillance and RFID technology for loss prevention in stores. An early adopter of both technologies, including using Sensormatic Synergy storefront detection system, DICK’s use of LP capabilities revolutionizes how the company looks at and reports data, and how the company allocates financial resources to combat shrink.

Customer Engagement Category

PetSmart won silver for its rollout of ShopperTrak’s People Counting & Conversation solution. The implementation of the traffic data solution allows PetSmart to effectively schedule store associate staff, drive conversion, drive performance, and ultimately provide a better customer experience.

Implementing processes that streamline store operations can have a huge impact on a retailers’ business – especially around the busy holiday season. By implementing solutions, such as RFID technology, IP video surveillance and traffic counting, stores can offer customers a smooth omni-channel experience in an increasingly complicated marketplace.
